What We Believe

God

He is the one true God. He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed as God the Father, God the Son & God

the Holy Spirit. The three are coequal and are one God. God is a spiritual being. He is holy (without sin), all knowing, all powerful, everywhere present, and eternally existent.

Genesis 1:1,26-27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, John 14:26, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

He is coequal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is truly God and truly man, existing for all eternity and conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He rose from the dead three days later to demonstrate His defeat of sin and death. He ascended into Heaven and will return again one day to reign as our powerful King.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to glorify who God is and to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with the power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved and as Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. Our foundation is based firmly upon the Bible as our final authority on Christian beliefs and as a guide to living. The Bible is divinely inspired by God, without error, given to man so that we may know and understand the truth of God and His love.

2 Timothy 3:16, 1:13, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 12:6, 119:105, 160, Proverbs 30:5

Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, and we have the opportunity to accept it. Salvation is not something that can be purchased or earned. It is a free gift from God provided by Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and is received through faith. It is available to everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. That faith is expressed through repentance of sin and baptism by immersion.

Romans 6:23, 5:1, 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6, 1:2, Titus 3:5, Galatians 3:26

Baptism

There are two aspects of salvation.  God has already done His part to provide salvation for us.  This is done through His grace and mercy extended to us through the death of His son, Jesus.  The second part is our partaking in His grace.  Based on Acts 2:37-41, we believe that baptism is one of the steps that we take to accept the gift of salvation.  The word used in the Bible simply means "to immerse" so we practice baptism by immersing believers in water.  This is a beautiful picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
